Pathfinders is a three- year, interactive, team-based program that prepares high school students for Confirmation. It provides them a solid foundation of the faith from which to build on over the course of their life. Pathfinders aims to “lead young Christians toward a more intimate union with Christ in order to spread and defend the faith by word and action as true witnesses of Christ, to confess the name of Christ boldly, and never to be ashamed of the Cross.” [CCC 1303, 1309].
Fully Catholic
Pathfinders is proudly Catholic. The Pathfinders program is founded on the time-tested orthodoxy of 2,000 years of Church history. It is the Faith of our fathers and the one true Faith that draws people to Christ. On the Pathfinders journey, young men and women will be trained in living the Faith. They will learn how to pray and develop a prayer routine, understand scripture and embrace the value of the Mass, church tradition, and much more!
Gone are the days of the Confirmation classroom. The young men and women of Pathfinders will live out the Faith through service activities, bible studies, group discussions, prayer and retreats. The friendships and comradery that develop out of these shared adventures provide key components to a Pathfinders’ success. Team members support and encourage one another’s growth in the faith.
Once successfully mastering key aspects of the faith, Pathfinders earn special seals. There are up to 3 seals to be earned each year of the program. The major achievement of earning a seal represents the hard work and dedication needed to master that subject-area.
